Service Through Community Outreach in Morganton, NC
The Rt. Rev. José Antonio McLoughlin finds a passion in promoting service through community outreach in Morganton, NC. He is the seventh bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. McLoughlin was elected as bishop after serving as canon to the ordinary in the Diocese of Oklahoma since 2008.
We look forward to the joyous, regular visits from Bishop Jose' and his wife Laurel and St. Paul's stays in close communication with the WNC Episcopal Diocese headquarters in Asheville NC.

THE MEETING PLACE MISSION:
Since 2004, the Meeting Place Mission has been serving the homeless, providing emergency shelter and transitioning individuals and families in permanent housing and safety in Burke County.
The Meeting Place is not a traditional homeless shelter so much as a series of programs designed to give people the best opportunity to end their homelessness and live independently.
