St Pauls Episcopal Church

About Us

Welcome to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  We are a growing and active congregation of The Episcopal Church on Lake James near Morganton, North Carolina.

Our parish is a warm, welcoming family who are committed to serving Christ by worshipping Him and serving our neighbors in His love.

Our Sunday services are at 9:00 a.m. followed by a time of fellowship and food afterwards in adjacent Fitzgerald Hall (known as "coffee hour").

Child care and Children's Sunday School are provided during the service, though children of all ages are welcome to join the adults in the Eucharistic breaking of bread towards the end of the service (with permission of parent or responsible adult).

St. Paul's has an average Sunday attendance of 45 -50 parishioners.  The church is a member of the Foothills Deanery of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina.

The church has several ministries, including Choir, the Episcopal Church Women (who assist various charities in our area and provide social and spiritual support to persons in crisis/transition) and Happy Tuesday - a monthly program which offers assistance to older persons and their caregivers in the form of a meal and informative activities.

Stations of the Cross is held in the church at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday night, during Lent.

We welcome you to join us to worship Christ, during your vacation or for the entire year.
